Convey Services today announced a strategic partnership with the Chicagoland chapter of the Association for Training & Development to launch LearningMarketplace.org, an online member engagement platform for 'All Things Training and Development.' LearningMarketplace.org is populated with content catalogs that are owned and managed by ASTD chapter members, as well as vendor partners from across the country. Each catalog profiles individual or vendor expertise and offers samples of professional work and services. LearningMarketplace.org makes it easy to engage with fellow members, collect content, training and information, catalog it, and then make it conveniently available to other users within the training and development market.
"LearningMarketplace.org changes the game for all ASTD chapter members, not just those in Chicago," said Joseph Tota, President of the Chicagoland chapter of ASTD. "Members come to the site looking for ideas, expertise and education. Members and vendor partners will find customers willing to hire them and they can even sell virtual training directly from the site. LearningMarketplace.org makes it convenient to find all things training and development in a single location and promotes business among ASTD members and visitors alike, nationwide."
"LearningMarketplace.org is a nationwide grassroots effort that's driven at the chapter level by the Chicagoland chapter of ASTD, one of the largest and most progressive chapters in the country," said Carolyn Bradfield, Chief Executive of Convey Services. "Our technology, Convey, automates the process of onboarding members, as well as vendors. It allows each of them to customize and brand a catalog and easily upload content, training or events. The entire site is easy to manage and offers many opportunities for members and regional affiliate chapters to generate revenue."
Catalog owners on LearningMarketplace.org are training professionals, renowned speakers, thought leaders, and business consultants who enjoy the opportunity to contribute to a training and development collective. Viewers search for individuals, vendors, content, or training by keywords, catalog owner or author. They can access training courses, webinars, videos, product literature or case studies and find services to enhance training and development initiatives. The site manages credit card transactions to easily purchase training or other services.
LearningMarketplace.org officially debuted at the 2014 ASTD International Conference & Exposition in Washington, DC where all 119 chapters nationwide were invited to join Chicagoland on LearningMarketplace.org. Invitations were extended to all conference exhibitors and local chapter business partners. Members and vendors can join the site by clicking the "Sign Up" button at www.learningmarketplace.org
and fill out a short application. Contributors are screened to ensure their content is appropriate for the site.
Note: On May 7, 2014, ASTD, the American Society for Training and Development changed its name to the Association for Talent Development (ATD).
